We are a group of European professionals dedicated to the subject of hereditary predisposition to cancer - wirh a main focus on hereditary colorectal cancer. The group evolved from the former ICG-HNPCC (International Collaborative Group on Hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer) As such many of the group have known each other and collaborated successfully (and informally) with each other for a long period of time. After the founding of InSiGHT (International Society for Hereditary Gastrointestinal Tumors) as a merge between the Leeds Castle Polyposis Group and the previously mentioned ICG-HNPCC this relatively small European Group has continued to meet informally on a yearly basis. Out of these meetings and collaborations several important publications, specifically regarding clinical aspects of the hereditary colorectal predispositions have evolved. |
